BRIEF
INFORMATION ABOUT THE FOUNDERS OF F.O.W
The family of Felix
Hakizimana and Agasiru Winnie is comprised of 5 people including 2 daughters
and one foster daughter who is currently studying in senior one. The family
stays in Uganda, Jinja District, Kakira Town Council, Wairaka B cell, Mwiri
ward.
Felix Hakizimana has a
degree in Public Administration and Management and is working as an
administrator and Director of a Primary School located in Bugiri District. He
has been managing the school for a period of 5 years.
Agasiru Winnie did
Nursery Teaching at Education for Transformation in Mafubira and at the end of
her studies; she was offered a tutor position at the same training institute by
the management.
We have 3 daughters
currently. The first got to stay with us
when she was still in Primary three, because she is an orphan. She is a niece
to Winnie.
Our older daughter,
Emily Simbare favor is 3 years old, making 4 years on November 28th,
2019. She is currently in Middle class.
Our second born, Simbare
Emmanuella Felicia is making two years on December 30th 2019, and is
starting baby class in February 2020.
The idea of starting a nursery
school has been on our minds for a long time, since Winnie was always
passionate about teaching young children, and at one time we decided it was a
good idea for her to go for a Nursery teaching course, because though she had
been teaching for some good years in different Nursery schools, she was not
qualified for that purpose.
Moreover, the area we
are staying in has many children but the schools around are few and also our
dream is to give to the young children the education they deserve by applying
what Winnie learnt from Education For Transformation.
We believe that the
children who will learn from our Nursery school are going to benefit a lot of
knowledge and skills compared to their friends from other neighboring schools.
